The winners for year 2008 were presented at the gala evening in The National Theatre in Prague on the 28th of March 2009.
The Thalia Prix - /an object made by the czech glass artist Bořek ŠÍpek/ - is above all granted for outstanding artistic achievement in production made in the Czech Republic during the past season.
The Association of Actors was for the 16th time announcing the nominees, each for male and female act, in categories:
Drama, Ballet, Pantomime and other Dance genre, Opera, Operetta and Musical

Nataša Novotná in Small Hour fully confirmed her unique ability to capture the active detail. The form of her movement is influenced by her long term engagement with Jiří Kylián's Nederlands Dans Theater. Novotná uses her body with the finest accuracy, she is perfectly in control and expresses the innermost emotions. Her effort is additionally presented with great concentration.
In year 2006 was the Thalia Prix, as especial price of the committee, awarded to Jiří Kylián .
