420PEOPLE + GUEST/ focus on detail

27. a 28. May 2010
19:30h, The New Stage of the National Theatre

Outstanding interpret Talia Paz from Israel
would be the 420PEOPLE GUEST this time.

In this almost chamber dance evening you will have the chance to focus on one trio and three solos. And that is essential. Hundreds of eyes are following one movement, gesture of a single dancer. An outstanding performer Talia Paz from Israel, a former member of the Cullberg Ballet, will perform her solo presentation in pieces by Stijn Celis and Sharon Eyal, and, moreover, give a workshop focused on Mats Ek's repertory.  The choreography Wall to Wall by Václav Kuneš will present a Brazilian dancer Samir Calixto on the Czech stage. 420PEOPLE represented by Nataša Novotná, Václav Kuneš and Tom Rychetský will bring to life Kuneš' choreography Paedocypris Progenetica (small fish) inspired by George Orwell's novel "1984".

MAGNOLIA

Magnolia expresses the ethereal lightness of heaven with very powerful images that goes against Mahler’s spring-morning feeling, and shows the dark grotesque side in the human cycles.

"…from a little child at the bottom of the sea
with the earth and the moon above me,
There is love, there is love to be found
It's a buzz it's the buzz
Falling fast, raise your glass
Fill your open sores
While you last wear your mask, wear it like its real
Like home
These are my pearls
Like home
