New Stage of the National Theatre in Prague
Reen by Václav Kuneš and Nataša Novotná´s Sacrebleu,
as an extra bonus last showing of the vibrant Ohad Naharin's B/olero.
Two brand new choreographies made by choreographers who, working together as 420PEOPLE company, insist on exceptional quality of performance and professionalism. Their pieces, however, don´t lack playfulness and courage with which they bring on stage a wide range of contemporary dance vocabulary, improvisation as a creative experiment and a non-conformist dialogue with the spectator in the form of an after show open discussion.

“In recent years I have had several opportunities to work either on shows with live music on stage or with a composer involved throughout in the creative process. Such close and intense co-operation has been new to me and from now onwards
I would like to stick to this way of working,” says Václav Kuneš, the author of the show.
Sacrebleu

light design: Pavla Beranová
dancer: Nataša Novotná
"... this time, I am trying to transmit my point of view, my (in)experience and my vision to the whole creative team. With curiosity, still respecting the untouchable/pure, I would like to decode my own way of approaching the movement, the dynamics and the logic of it. Realize what is instinctive about it and what is pure calculation."
B/olero
choreography: Ohad Naharin
music: Maurice Ravel (Isao Tomita)
costumes: Alla Eizenberg
light design: Ohad Naharin
dancers: Nataša Novotná, Rei Watanabe
“I saw a synthesizer on the record jacket, behind Bach. For the first time, I discovered that the synthesizer is not an instrument to compose music by using the sounds of existing instruments, but a new instrument or new machine which creates unlimited sound sources.”
Isao Tomita, 1977
This evening was created in co-production with the Korzo theatre in Den Haag/NL, supported by the Embassy of Izrael and ballet of the National theatre in Prague.
The production is made by 420PEOPLE in co-operation with: Artn o.s. and New Stage of the National Theatre in Prague, financially supported by Fondation BNP Paribas, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Embassy of Izrael, Ministry of culture in the Czech Republic, the City of Prague.
