"By inviting Michael Schumacher, the american master of improvization and choreographer - whom was awarded besides other the Kylian Ring, Václav Kuneš acknowledged his reputation of always searching for the new and unexplored ways. Schumacher was invited to make particular, or if you wish to enrich, the 420PEOPLE works."
(operaplus.cz, Vít Dvořák, 15.4.2010)
An affordance is a quality of an object, or an environment, that allows an individual to perform an action.
For 420PEOPLE it is the exploration of the very special potential of people in their given environment. Expressing their own way of being, acting and dancing.
music:
Henry Purcell, Amos Ben Tal, Lajkó Félix, Katsui Yuji, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald & Duke Ellington and more

Helena Arenbergerová

Psychologist James J. Gibson originally introduced the term in 1977. He defined affordances as all "action possibilities" latent in the environment, objectively measurable and independent of the individual's ability to recognize them, but always in relation to the actor and therefore dependent on their capabilities.
