Václav Kuneš

After graduating from the Dance Conservatory in Prague in 1993 he joined the junior company of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT 2), later followed by the main company NDT 1. During these years he has created, worked with and performed works by most of the best known choreographers.
In 2004 Vaclav became a freelance dancer and choreographer, occasionally setting up works of Mr. Kylian on other companies around the world.
As a choreographer Václav has created works for NDT 2, Laterna Magika Theater in Prague, Copenhagen Int. Ballet, Korzo Theater in Den Haag and Station Zuid in Tilburg, Holland, which will present his full evening piece in 2009.
In 2005 he has been nominated for the Dancer of the Year award in Cannes.
In 2006 he played the role of Young Nijinski in the Finnish film production, Vaslav Nijinski - Invisible Power.
