Francesco Nappa was born in Napoli in 1974 and was trained there at the Accademia Napoletana di Danza Classica, directed by Mara Fusco. During his studies he joined the "Balletto di Napoli” and receiving the Thomas Cook's scholarship he joined the senior class of the English National Ballet School.
In 1992 he joined Les Ballets de Monte Carlo where was shortly promoted as an Soloist and than the Principal soloist.
In 2000 he joined the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen and two years later the Nederlands Dans Theater under the leadership of Anders Hellstrom.
In 2005 he rejoined Les Ballets de Monte Carlo and since the summer 2008 started of his carrier as a freelance artist.
