Miguel Oliveira

Born on the 17th of November 1977 in Lisbon Portugal.
In 1983 he began his studies at the Academy of contemporary Dance (ADC) in Setúbal, where he was after his graduation in 1994, invited to join the CeDeCe (Contemporary Dance Company).
In 1996 he joined the Ballet Gulbenkian under the direction of Iracity Cardoso. Three years later Miguel leaves Portugal to join the junior company of Nederlands Dans Theatre (NDT 2), continuing to the main company NDT 1 in 2002.  He worked and created with choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Oscar Araiz, Nacho Duato, Itzik Galili, Rui Horta, Ohad Naharin,William Forsythe, Paul Lightfoot& Sol Leon, Stijn Celis, Tero Saarinen, Regina van Berkel and many others.
Leaving the company in 2009 Miguel continues as freelance dancer. Participating in Holland Dance Festival 2009 and the 17th Dance Festival de Cannes.
In April 2010 you can see him performing with 420PEOPLE in solo piece Wall to wall and the finale of Affordance by V. Kuneš
